Talkin’ Zuda and Schmuck
JK Parkin interviews November’s Zuda contestants at Robot 6. There are some good answers there, and I particularly like it that he asks what comics the creators would vote for if they weren’t in this month’s competition.Speaking of Zuda, it’s front and center in this interview with DC’s Ron Perrazza. (Hat tip: David Gallaher.)
Seth Kushner and Kevin Colden’s Schmuck will debut on Act-I-Vate on Thanksgiving day, and Seth whets our appetite a bit with an account of how the comic came into being (with lots of help from Dean Haspiel, as it turns out) at the Graphic NYC blog.
Wolfen Moondaughter talks to Gina Biggs, the creator of Red String, at Sequential Tart.
New webcomic alert: Freewheel, by Liz Baillie. There are only a handful of pages up right now but you can see the story starting to take shape, and Evan Dahm (Rice Boy) gives it a solid recommendation (he has read the whole thing in minicomic form). So jump in on the ground floor and take a look.
Delos picks up on some subtle things in his review of Smash, an all-ages, boy-becomes-superhero comic that I have just discovered myself.
Nominations are open for the Webcomic List Awards, and anyone can play, so get your picks in before December 13th.
