About Paperless Comics

Paperless Comics aims to be the morning newspaper for webcomics readers, with links to reviews, interviews, and think-pieces, as well as alerts to new and noteworthy online comics. Links about handhelds (iPhone, Android, Kindle, PSP, even iPads) are gathered in posts slugged “Left to our own devices.” For my own reviews, interviews, and think-pieces, check my weekly Unbound column at Robot 6.

About Brigid

I’m a lifelong comics reader, and for the past five years I have been writing about comics as well. I have a BFA in studio art and an MFA in printmaking. At age 30, I went back to school to study physics and did graduate work in atmospheric science before dropping out to take care of my kids. In addition to writing, I have worked as a book editor and a newspaper reporter, and I am currently the administrative assistant to the mayor of a small city. I blog about manga at MangaBlog and kids’ comics at Good Comics for Kids, and I also write for Publishers Weekly Comics Week, SLJTeen, and Graphic Novel Reporter. And while I’m not there any more, I learned everything I know about webcomics from my colleagues at Digital Strips, where I live on as a cartoon character. Back in real life, I am married to a handsome physicist and have two teenage daughters. If you have questions, comments, or breaking news, feel free to e-mail me at brigid (at) mangablog.net.
